How does the Service Experience work?

Step 1: Purchase and Register your Home Warranty

Once you purchase an AHS Home Warranty we will send your contract package with detailed information about what's included in your home warranty.

The package will provide you with your contract number and instructions on how to update your personal information. This will ensure that you will receive the most current and accurate information from AHS.

Upon receipt of your service request, AHS will contact one of our approved, licensed contractors. The contractor will contact you during normal business hours to schedule an appointment.

Step 3: Receive an email confirmation with the contractor’s information

AHS will then send you an email confirmation that the request has been received and will provide you with contact information for the local approved, licensed contractor.

Step 4: Contractor will diagnose the problem

The contractor will diagnose the problem and contact AHS to confirm that the problem is covered in your contract. A low trade service fee (per trade) is due and payable directly to the contractor when they arrive at your home.

Step 5: Contractor repairs or replaces the covered system or appliance

Once it is determined that the reasons for the failure of your system or appliance are covered by your home warranty, the contractor will start working to resolve the issue.

If the problem can be repaired, the contractor will repair the problem. If the problem cannot be repaired, we'll replace the equipment. Sometimes parts have to be ordered and the contractor will schedule a time to come back and complete the repair or replacement.
